Brody's First Halloween!

Halloween was way to much fun. We did the usual Halloween activities...Family all together at my sisters,carved pumpkins,Made spider shirts, baked pumpkin seeds(burned them), ordered pizza & went Trick or Treating! We just took Brody around my sisters culdesac, just to get a little taste. : ) He strolled in the Stroller with his princess Jasmine Cousin going door to door and screaming at every "scary guy" she saw. Too funny. Here are some pics! Cant wait for the HOLIDAYS!! WOO!!

This is his spider shirt we made out of his hand prints... He grabbed the shirt with his wet hands, so his spiders looked like hairy tarantulas. : )

 

Crazy thing called Life.

So you know when I have no time to post for over a month and a half, that life is pretty much crazy! From my last 5 month post, we have been Busy! Every weekend in September we were up at my In-laws house getting the back yard together for Bink & Helena's Wedding reception. We went to their bachelor/bachelorette party on the 25th of September. That was Brody's first time away from Ma-Ma! My Mom watched him for the night. Good thing the party was right down the street because I had to go back home every 3 hours to feed him. Yep, he still doesn't take a bottle. ( I don't think he ever will )

The next weekends were filled with getting everything ready and DONE for the reception! Then we were off to Vegas on October 10th! Brody's first 4 hour car ride and trip out of state! We had so much fun and were so glad we were able to go ! It was Cody's first time to Vegas too, haha. Then the 16th we had their Reception! It was so much fun and so beautiful! I love backyard weddings! They are so beautiful yet so homey!
This past weekend was our first weekend off in a long time! And what did we do NOTHING! Haha. I was actually sick, so it worked out perfect! This weekend is Halloween and I'm oh so excited! I'm getting very excited for the Holidays! Brody's first Holidays! I remember thinking when I was pregnant, I cant wait for the holidays and spending them with my Little boy! Now that it is just around the corner I want to soak everything in, hopefully with lots of pictures!

Since my last post was Brody's 5 months Ill just add his 6 months here!  : )
6 Months is such a fun age. He grabs things constantly, knows what he wants and his little personality is starting to shine. He is such a sweet but at the same time Crazy boy! He loves to bang his toys on anything , he loves the loud noise his hands can make. Also, he can sit in his chair and watch Backyardigans and Blues Clues and start crack up laughing at what they are doing. Little boy melts my heart!
6 months 18 pounds.

7 months will be here in 2 weeks! Where is the time going??

My boy is now 5 months old! His new accomplishments are, sleeping in his crib,Woo! (Just naps though ) drinking from a sippy, and good control with hands and grabbing things. I'm just waiting for him to start scooting and for more teeth to come! Here's the pictures!

Cody's Chicken Delight.

I don't know what this meal is called, so for us it's Cody's Chicken Delight! My mom makes this, and its Cody's all time favorite food. (and it might be mine too) Its easy and delish!

Ingredients:

White Rice

One can of creme of mushroom soup

One cube of creme cheese

One Italian seasoning packet

3 chicken breast pieces

This makes 4 servings, 2 servings in our house because Cody has to finish it... haha..
The more people,just double the recipe!

Put thawed chicken in crock pot and cook on high for and hour. Then add Italian seasoning and cook for 20 min... You can throw everything in there and let it cook for hours, I just have always done it this way.

After 20 min, add soup & creme cheese!

Doesn't look to appetizing, haha but trust me :)

Let cook for an hour or 2 depending on if the crock pot is on high or low.

Everything will mix on its own and the chicken will shred apart when done!

And lay it on a bed of white rice!

Labor Day Weekend is here!

Labor Day weekend is here! Whooo! Cody has the WHOLE weekend off, yes! My most favorite weekends! The baby is napping, Ive got dinner in the crock pot, house is cleaned,  hair is still up in a huge mop on my head.. but that's okay : ) Just waiting for daddio to get home so we can start our weekend! Tonight I think we are layin' low , dinner at home, maybe a movie! Oooo. Tomorrow Cody insists he stays at home and plays games all day. (Yes, my husband is an addicted, game crazy, noodle head.) Don't judge. Haha... Hey its better than being out at bars all night right? Right... Anyways, Saturday, I want to find sometime to walk across the street (literally) to the mall and take back a dress I got last weekend for my brother in laws wedding next month. It just didn't hit the spot.. I found another, better one, I reaaaallllllly like online, but just my luck the only store that has one around here is in Brea. Maybe Cody wouldn't mind a little (40 min) stroll , in the car of course down to Brea to pick it up? He might just shoot me. Haha, Ill let you know how that goes! And Sunday we are headed over to Cody's parents house to help get everything set up in the backyard for his brothers reception next month. We have tested some lighting out, and just that, it is already looking so pretty! I Cant wait to see it the night of the reception! : ) And Monday we are headed over to my parents house for an annual summer is over BBQ! Maybe Baby Brody will swim and of course Ill have lots of pics to share! : ) Well that is our Labor Day weekend here in this 100 degree weather. Hopefully Mother Nature says goodbye to summer this weekend also! Please Mama! Oop, I hear a baby.. until the next nap...

First and foremost..

I have a lot of things to blog about today, but first and foremost, is Baby Brody's play time! Yaaaay!
He is so much easier these days. Its fabulous! He can actually entertain himself while mom cleans, cooks, does laundry, puts on her face, takes pictures of him, blogs, or better yet .. SHOWERS! : ) Here is his latest and cutest play time..

4 months!

Here is the latest 4 month picture! I still need to find a 12 picture, picture frame!

(One month to two months is the biggest difference!)

Three months...

And, drum roll...... Four months!!!!

He is just growing up so fast. He is almost 5 months old, and learning new things everyday.
Just a lil list of what he does these days...
I can't even put him down to play on his jungle gym anymore, the second I put him down he rolls over like lightning and then starts starts crying because he hates being on his stomach.. Haha, he is getting a little better about being on his stomach though!
He is also getting into toys now. He has learned how to use his hands to grab things, and then instantly into the mouth. He is still a little shaky but seems like he will be playing like no other in no time!
He sits up with little support!
He watches when Cody or I drink, he knows we are drinking something and opens his mouth and reaches like he wants some. He does the same thing with his bottle (such a nightmare). I'm trying to get him on the bottle so I can go to my brother and sister in law's Bachelorette & Bachelor party/wedding & reception (which is in one month) without being a total boob. Haha, but that's a totally different story in itself!
Anyways, he likes when he sees the bottle and wants it in his mouth, but the second he figures out I'm trying to feed him, all Hell breaks loose... Hopefully soon.. hopefully soon...



It's so fun watching him grow, and see the new things he learns everyday! It's very bittersweet. So cute and happy but a little sad he is growing up so quickly..

Oh P.S. We found out today my sister is pregnant!!!!!!!! Whoooooo! So exited for her and the family! So happy Brody will have a cousin close to his age, let the good times roll! <3

Refugio pt. 2!

We are back and settled at home! We had an amazing time, other than the baby being super fussy from teething, all and all we had an amazing vacation! We hiked, went on bike rides, bbq'd, layed on the beach, went on walks, and even had a family photoshoot. We got there on Sunday night and camped in a spot for 3 nights with Ryan, Chantel, Alexis, Kyle and Jayden. Then on wednesday when the rest of my family and our group of camping friends got there, we swiched to a site with the rest of my family. Yes all 20 of us on one site, haha. It was a little crazy, but everyday in the Magelsen household is crazy! We had huge breakfasts and huge dinners everynight. I gained 5 lbs! Haha. A well worth 5 pounds : )

I talked to a lady camping across from us who has taken her son camping here every year since he was 7 months old. He is now off to college and it was there last camping trip before he leaves home. She came up to me and asked how old Brody was and told me her story and said they were the best summers of her life. I would like to take Brody here every summer , make it a family tradition !

Some of my nieces and nephews had a fun trip also. "Summer lovin" from Grease was our camping anthem this year. Jayden found her new friend Deagon, They are 3 and 4 and they couldn't be separated! Landin who is 7 found a lil 7 year old girl who is family of a family friend and couldn't stop talking about her and following her. He would ride by her campsite and Say "Hottie!" as loud as he could all day. Ha Ha! And then we have my oldest niece Alexis who found a cute little boy down the creek from our site. She was the real reason we sang Summer lovin'. She had her first kiss on the beach! We were callin her Sandy til we found out it was a "real kiss" and then started calling her Frenchie. Haha, Poor thing. She was tormented, and Im sure the rest of her life , every year we go camping she will be known as "Summer lovin".

Refugioooo!

In one week we will be taking our annual Vacation camping trip! Oh so excited. This is the first time Cody and I will be able to stay the whole week. One of the many Joys of owning your own business! Week Vacations! Yee Haw.

We go to Refugio state beach. It is beautiful! Camping spots right on the beach! We get the group spots and go with 3 other familes. We will have a week full of BBQ's, campfires, laying on the beach, smores, cornhole, family & friends and of course good ol Zac Brown!

Thank you mama Carrie for getting us our Wagon to haul our family to the beach everyday. Cody was so excited he had to put Spice in it right when we got home and take her for a stroll Yes, in the apartment!

Change is good!

So we've been busy over here the past month. We decided to move out of my parents house and get a place of our own again! Spontaneous much? We applied one day and the next we were moving in. We had alot to pack and unpack in such short notice. Everything is finally done and we are now settled! So now I can get back to the daily grind : )

Brody's first fourth of July!

 We moved on the 3rd so we were a little too crazy and messy to celebrate with my family that day. They all went to Quakes stadium to watch the game and the firework show. We had Cody's family over helping us move everything. We got to watch the show from our Balcony, we have a great view of the park! 

On the 4th we went over to my sisters and had our traditional BBQ and fireworks for the kids. I babysat Jayden and her bff Mia in Jaydens room playing princess' while everyone was doing fireworks. The babies were all too scared : )

Karas Birthday!

We celebrated my sisters birthday this weekend!
My whole family pitched in and went shopping for goodies for her.
We got her her own Ipod touch, Finally!!! I think shes he last one to have one!
Were all addicted to those bad boys over here...

Here is one of our family's favorite dessert! Fruit Pizza, mmm. And it's easy as Pie, well easier.
What you'll need...

Roll out the Cookie on a Circle Pizza Sheet.
Make as directed on Package.
Let Cool.

Mix the Creme Cheese and Sugar.

Spread on Cooled cookie.

Top with your Favorite Fruits!

Our favorites are, strawberries, bananas, kiwi, raspberries, and blackberries.
